Resilience Therapy

Have you experienced something traumatic that you wish you would just 'get through this!'? Resilience Therapy is my approach to helping individuals process events and move to a higher level of functioning. As you experience the process of resilience, you will unfold to your potential.

Resilience Therapy utilizes best practice approaches to help individuals and focuses on the process of resilience.

Resilience is "the ability to withstand and rebound from disruptive life challenges" (Walsh, 2003, p. 1).  These challenges can present in a variety of life's issues. In research with adult survivors of child abuse, Dr. Gegenheimer discovered the inner-strengths used by those individuals who have successfully reinvented themselves. The ability to move beyond negative events and bounce forward to a higher level of functioning is something every person should experience.

The work of resilience includes an individualized plan to recognize your internal strengths, treat traumatic experiences, skill building, and encouragement.

Come celebrate your unfolding!
